On June 22nd 2011 in the Brest Fortress a memorial complex will be opened dedicated to the seventieth in honor of frontier guards and their families who died heroically in first days of war actions during the Brest Fortress defense. It is well known that frontier guards were with their wives and children who bandaged the wounded, brought ammunition, transferred provisions. It would be very hard for the fighters without this support. A memorial complex will be set up at Terespolskie Gates.

The author of a memorial complex — awardee of Lenin prize Valentin Zankovich who took part in creation of memorial complex “Brest Fortress-Hero” in a group of authors.

To the seventieth of deed of frontier guards in the Great Patriotic War RUE “Belpochta” is planning to issue marked envelope with a stamp “A” with a sculpture image “For border heroes, women and children stepped into immortality by their courage”.
